Michaela Krahwinkel was recently recognised as an "outstanding woman in the field of risk and performance measurement". She received the award from the "Journal of Performance Measurement", one of the leading journals for performance analysis.
Since 2018, this award has been presented to women who make an important contribution to the field of risk and performance measurement through their work and further developments, thus demonstrating that analytical work is by no means a male-only affair.
This year, two women received this award: Michaela Krahwinkel from Union Investment and Diane Robertson from T. Rowe Price.

Michaela Krahwinkel has worked at Union Investment for over 20 years and headed the Performance Analysis department. Her focus was on performance analysis, GIPS (Global Investment Performance Standards), benchmarking and peer group analysis. In this key function, she systematically established and expanded performance controlling.
Michaela Krahwinkel is now the Diversity & Inclusion Officer at Union Investment, where she wants to initiate processes that lead to inclusion. Following a long-held wish, she is setting up a women's network at Union Investment and hopes that others will follow.
Michaela has been on the advisory board of the Fondsfrauen from the very beginning and was declared "Role Model of the Year" in the Fondsfrauen Award 2020. This was in recognition of her ability to encourage and network women. She is currently also involved in the Fondsfrauen Senior Professionals Working Group.
Anke Dembowski is a financial journalist and author of various investment fund-related and other financial books. She is also a co-founder of the "Fondsfrauen" network.
